The lovely Snowflake Stole is a gentle paradox—these snowflakes will keep you warm with a drift of snowy (and showy!) lace around your shoulders.
The stole is worked in stocking stitch by casting on provisionally at one end, then knitting the body to the other end. A lacy garter stitch edging is knitted sideways to the body and attached to the live stitches at each end. There is lace shaping on one side throughout the body of the stole, but the edging features lace shaping on both sides.
NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted.
Recommended for Advanced Intermediate lace knitters.
Finished size: Approx. 22.5 inches wide and 76 inches long after blocking – stole can easily be made longer or shorter. |
